Help with curved text!!!

Hi I made this following Heather's TUT. I can't get it to open in scal.
I would like to cut the circle and draw the words in pen. Please Help!!

When I look at the file, I see the circles and text have not been converted to paths (Path/Object to path)

You need to convert the text to path (Path/Object to path). You also need to convert the circle that you want to cut to Path. After the text is converted, you should delete the inner circle unless you want to cut a ring. HTH

Thank You that helped but when I convert the text to path it changed the font into an open font..

That is what you want. Also, if you are cutting the circle, hold the shift and control keys and drag one of the bounding box arrows for the outer circle until the words are completely inside the circle. The shift key keeps the center point in the same place, and the control key keeps the proportions. HTH

Thank you so much for your help Heather! I am finished my project and as soon as I find my USB for my camera I will post the pic=)
