Trying to figure out Inkspace
Trying to figure out Inkspace
I am trying to start using inkspace and have import a bitmap file of a butterfly card. And use the trace feature. When I import to SCAL2 and cut it. It is double lines. How do I clean up these types of files to they print clean.

Re: Trying to figure out Inkspace
Double lines are caused by Inkscape tracing the transition from light to dark. If you had a silhouette, it would just trace the shape. Since you are tracing lines, it traces both transitions/sides of the line.
To get rid of the extra lines, select your trace, Path/Break apart. At this point you might want to either switch to outline mode (View/Display mode/Outline) or remove the fill and set a stroke so that you can see what you are working with. Select any lines you don't want and delete them. HTH

Thanks for the help. Heather M. I am trying it right now your way and can follow your instructions well enough. I then clicked edit path by nodes and have tried to delete that way, but it is messing up everything.
