Hello All,
I love the combination of the big Cricut with Inkscape and SCAL.
First off, you are not reading the post of a professional graphics person and that is why I have my question.
I made a design that cuts well on sticky vinyl and is shaped like a bar code. Problem is when I peel the waste from the vinyl, the small bar code lines tend to pull up since they are pretty intricate and on sticky vinyl, this is a problem.
Does anyone know of a way to use some sort of graphics program to draw an outline around the outer edge of these bar code bars? It would make peeling the excess vinyl away from the design a whole lot easier.
Better still, if someone here knows how to do it, I can send the scut file to you if you are interested in helping me out. Let's use the PM communication thing. Thanks a bunch.

in scal, you can use the basic shapes tool & draw a box/square/rectangle around the bars & then cut that way.

My design is irregular. Right angles cant be used.

If you do your design in inkscape and want to get it that you have an outline border...Draw your design, remove the fill make the stroke line a little wider, hit path/stroke to path and use just the insides of the design.. For myself I find this the easiest when doing straight lines or circles...

Thanks for the small instructions. I will give it a go in the morning.
