A little gift box

Post by Texasyl »

Here is my latest attempt. I'm still new but having a lot of fun. This is a little box that I made from the soapbox template I found at http://www.jersgirl.com/temps.html thank you Tami. I have included a pic of an unglued one so that you can see the folding process.

This little box is handy for those little gifts or any size you wish. I hope someone can use it.

Well Carla, I'm still learning so I am really not the one to ask. However, Youtube has some good tutorials and there are people on the board that can help if you ask. I use Inkscape. SCAL is very picky and the SVG must be very clean of excess lines, it will cut on every line. I use Paint and my teenager to help me get rid of the extra stuff and add any new things I need. Inkscape can do this too but I am still learning Inkscape. I find Paint is just easier to use. When I get the template the way I want I then download it into Inkscape and save it as an SVG. I am able to use Inkscape in a lot of ways but I'm still learning it.

Thanks to everyone who downloads my files. Please let me know if you have any problems, I plan to get better as time goes by. :)
