Ability to Toggle between Stacked Objects

Post by oddonesvk »

First, I want to say how much I love SCAL. I would never have bought the Expression if SCAL were not available. I am not complaining at all about the program, but since this section is set up for suggestions, I figure I might as well put in my two cents worth -- :)

It would be great if there were some easy way to toggle between objects that are stacked on top of each other, like holding down shift or control while clicking on the object. It is nearly impossible to manipulate an object that is underneath another one without having to move everything around to get to it.

Thank you for your considerations!!!!!!!

if you do the object in their own layers, you can lock the other layers and just choose the object you want. is that what you mean?

Lock and unlock layers. Use the eye feature to view the one you want to work on. I Love SCAL 2 and I Love the being able to work in layers.
Have a Great Day!!!

Hi:

I agree that being able to lock layers does help for moving around objects that are stacked on top of each other IF they are on different layers. However, it would also be nice to have a shortcut command that would make it easy to toggle between stacked objects that are on the same layer.

For instance, I have a digitizing program that has such a feature. While holding down the control key, you click on the stack of objects and the top object is highlighted. Click again and the object below it is highlighted. Click again and the third object down is highlighted, etc....

I Love SCAL. Not complaining, just adding some thoughts to the wish list.
