Here's another neat site that I hadn't seen mentioned yet. (Sorry if this is a repeat, but it's a pretty cool site.) It's http://karenswhimsy.com
She has scanned several silhouette images from books that are now in the public domain. They look like they's be good candidates for Inkscape and SCAL to cut.
Fonts and silhouettes
Re: Fonts and silhouettes
I bookmarked it! She has great stuff there. TFS

Re: Fonts and silhouettes
I don't understand where you go from the page your link goes to. Everything's all flashy and that won't cut. I clicked on one of the flashy things and it takes me to a postcard of sorts that would never cut. What am I missing?
Re: Fonts and silhouettes
Click on public domain images at the top and then scroll to the bottom where it says site map for public domain...At the left is a TON of stuff! I just checked out the borderes! WOW! I suppose we would need to FIX these in inkscape? Oh man...Ill be back with more questions I'm sure!

Here's a more complete link to the site that leads directly to the silhouettes: http://karenswhimsy.com/silhouette-clipart.shtm
In the left column there is a menu. If you choose silhouettes, additional menus appear for these categories: people, dancer, free, bird, animal, tree, art, clipart, cat, silhouettes, horse, girl, female and woman. These are all public domain images, which means no copyright.
