How to change gsd to svg

Post by topbanana »

Hi
Can someone explain if it's possible to change a gsd file to a svg file. I've new to all this so don't really know if this is possible.
Thanks very much .

You'll have to pardon me, as I am on vacation without the proper software to talk you step by step. What I have done is open the GSD in the Craft Robo software and tell it to print cut lines and then print to a PDF. You need to have software insstalled that allows you to print to a pdf. Then you can import the image and trace. It's probably not as simple as you'd hoped, as it still involves tracing.

Also search this board. If I remember correctly there are other posts on this sbject.

Let me know if you require additional help.

Another option would be to take a screen shot of the file using a capture program (like King Kong Capture free on the web) and then paste it into Inkscape (another good free program) where you can then trace it and save it as an SVG.

HTH!

I open the gsd in craft robo. Then I use the print screen on my keyboard. I then make a new blank file in pse and paste it and save it as a .jpg. I then open scal and go to trace image, find the image trace it and then save it as a scut.
