I don't know if this is the right area for posting this, but I make cakes and saw a website where you can purchase a DVD that shows you how to cut gumpaste for decorating cakes using the Cricut machine. I want to know if anyone out there has done this, and if so, how hard is it? I want to get the DVD but need to know if it is worth the hassle. I would be purchasing a new machine to do just this thing.
TIA
Sonya

Have you seen the slide show of many, many cakes by her (Linda ~don't know last name~)?

I hate to suggest taking away from her income by 'skipping' the dvd; however, it'd be awesome if some of us posted our trial and error experiments trying this. I can't imagine how to cut something so thick without marring it and how to keep it from shifting, etc., but apparently it's possible! My mind is reeling with ideas now!

If you do an internet search for "Cricut gum paste" you will find a lot of info. I know one of the cake forums had a lot of posts on this.
