Welding words not working....... HELP........ please!

For some reason when I type a word, highlight it and then check the weld box, the word will not weld. Can anyone help me out with this??

Despite having the words marked weld, you also need to overlap your letters , if you hit preview (I believe that is what it is) you will be able to see where it will cut prior to cutting and see that the word will be welded.
