SCAL Isn't Cutting A Whole Lot
I just want to say that purchasing SCAL has been a disappointment. I bought a new laptop to avoid any problems and I still get them. I was unable to successfully install becasue my cricut needed to be a 2.3. (Now it appears I have an old Cricut) So I download the free trial cricut design studio. I don't feel that I have to buy a different cutting system to get this cutting system working. I found it very strange that I had to "borrow" from a different company to get this program working. It cut one time and then after it started to say that it wasn't reading the cricut. Is it possible that PROVO is aware of this and are finding ways to stop this "borrowning" of programs. Is there a way of trouble shooting this problem without having to spend more money? What a waste of $$. I highly encourage any potential customers not to make this purchase. It is not worth the headache and money. Do not buy unless your have a degree in computers and you can try to troubleshoot problems that will arise.

Sure Cuts A Lot is the best program ever. I had problems with my new computer and the drivers. It took a little research and the help of a good friend to get it working, but now that it does, I haven't had any problems. I only have the two cartridges that came with my machine and I will never buy a new cartridge again. I can cut anything I want and I make lots of my own artwork.

Needing a firmware update for your Cricut from Provo-craft in order to install Sure Cuts a Lot is no different than needing a windows update or a .net framework update from microsoft in order to run a newly purchased program.

I've had SCAL for a few months now.. I bought the first one in May and the second in July and it's the greatest thing ever. I haven't had any problems with mine and I even bought a brand new laptop just so I can use the program without hogging our other computer.. I'm no computer genius.. Far from it.. But I did manage it and like I said.. no problems. I agree.. Contact craftedge..
