Paper Templates

Hi Everyone I'm new to scal and don't realy know what I'm doing ? I have bought some templates that are printed on card but it also has the written instructions on the page. I can bring the image through inkscape but need to seperate the image as there's a large one plus a small one of the same image. I have tried to seperate them with inkscape but got nowhere, if the written instructions are left on the template then it wont open up in scal...can anyone please help me.

Did you go ungroup or breakapart??? if one doesn't work try the other.. Make sure your image is clicked on first..

Are you tracing them in Inkscape or importing a pdf?

I have tried ugrouping but now breakapart ? I don't know how to do that.....yes I am importing them through scal....but still nothing
