Touchy question.........

First, you can - just as you can take any image you 'see' on the internet or can print and scan into your computer. Once your computer can 'see' the image you can convert that image into a .svg file via using a graphics program.

Second, if you do, PC's images are covered by copyright law and therefore any 'conversion' of their images would be in violation of copyright law.

So............. caveat emptor! (buyer beware!)

You can still cut if you have the cartridge.

Oh! Yes! I interpreted the question differently.

Yes, you can still cut with all the carts you have.

There has been a lot of discussion regarding doing screen captures of the PC designs........ which is what I thought was the original question.

Please pardon me if my answer confused anyone - yes, you can still cut from the carts you have. SCAL does not interfer at all.

Design Studio cuts the shapes from the cartridges - SCAL enables you to use its shape library and the fonts and dingbats that are on your computer and design your own templates using any third party graphics program that will save as .svg format ( Inkscape, Xara, Illustrator), it will not interact directly with the cartridges in any way.
