best cardstock for letters/fonts?

i use my cricut/scal for letters and the occasional shape.
what are the best cardstocks to use?
i tried a bazzill textured and i almost threw the machine on the floor:)
any ideas would be useful!

i had trouble with that brand too..i use the generic paper...its a bit thinner

The 60 degree Roland blades you can buy on Ebay work a little better on textured papers - less tearing and cleaner cuts. I have switched to them for everything. I also find that the papers/cardstock with finer fibers cut better than ones with more obvious fibers. HTH

The cheaper black cardstock from Walmart and Michaels doesn't cut very well. But the more expensive black papers cut fine for me. I use a 60 degree blade for all uses and am very happy with that. Much better cuts.

I set my blade depth to 6, pressure to Max or slightly lower and speed to Min to get a reasonable cut with Bassil.
I am using the standard blade but will have to give the 60 degree blades a go.

It's just called a Roland Blade.. Google it and you'll be able to view them...
