need help opening SVG file

Hi,
I am getting very frustrated!! I coverted a file into SVG through Inkscape. I then tried to open it in SCAL and nothing shows up! I have tried to do it 3-4 times. What is going on? When I hit import SVG file, I find my pic, hit open and then it goes to the SCAL screen and there is nothing there but a small circle with arrows in it in the top left corner. Can anyone help? I have SCAL 2 and am using Vista.

It sounds like you didn't convert your image into a vector. It's not enough to just save a file as SVG, you have to convert the images to vector first. See Firstcut's blog for help with this. http://cleversomeday.wordpress.com/images-to-svg/
