Newbie Question about shadowing.

I am actually planning to buy scal, but have a question about shadowing. I have a cricut expression/cds and it doesn't doesn't shadow the entire word, just the individual letters. Can I shadow the entire word with scal?

I tried to do this, but couldn't figure it out. I can only get it to shadow the letters too. anyone else figure out how to do this?

Are you saying that you want a connected mat? Make sure the weld box is checked for the entire word, and if the letters are overlapping they will be welded. This won't show until you view the preview. This works for both versions of SCAL. HTH
