Tracing and Ungrouping

Afterplace the traced item on my mat is it possible to ungroup after it's been traced?? I've tried and having no success..

are you refering to a break apart to make different layers for paper piecing? It wont do that but if you have grouped objects they will ungroup them.

The autotrace seems to work best with silhouette photos.. If you're looking for the break apart and color cutting you'll most likely be better off hitting up good ole inkscape.

Ungroup seems to work with.......
If you created Text/Shapes within SCAL
If you created a group within SCAL
If you import a SVG that was saved with Layers


there may be more but that's just off the top of my head...

Okay since updating to 2.01 I found I can trace and if you tick Break Apart Outlines, when you have the traced image on your mat go to ungroup and you can actually select parts of the shape.
See pic I traced a jpg showing a nativity font you can get.
I found I could ungroup it
