using Inkscape to convert photos
I want to make a Joker iron on vinyl transfer to put on a bag for my daugheter. I have Inkscape, SCAL and my Cricut. I have downloaded pics and traced them in Inkscape, but they are coming up with too much detail. I've seen where others have made great Ts from pics (Harry Potter, Edward Cullen), but I can't get the same results. I would LOVE some help, please. If someone has a Heath Ledger as the Joker SVG to share, I won't say no
, but I'd really like to learn how to do it. Thanks.

You can try simplify first (select your Path, then control L). If that is too severe, just undo it. You will also need to use the node tool to delete nodes and move the lines around. Susan Bluerobot has some good tuts on cleaning up dingbats that should work for this too. http://susanbluerobot.blogspot.com/2008 ... ng-to.html
I like to work in regular view with no fill and a really thin stroke width when making a file from a photograph. HTH
