Don't feel bad .. it took me a long time to figure this out. If I understand right you are clicking on Open after you downloaded the font.. You need to click on Save the font .. Put it in a folder where you can find it and then if it is a zippered file you need to extract it. You do this by clicking on file in the upper left hand corner and finding exract. Then I have been putting them with the rest of my fonts on my computer. This is done by opening up your fonts on the Control Panel and opening the folder that has the font which you saved and that you want to use in SCAL. Then make these 2 windows open at the same time on your computer screen by doing restore undtead of minimiize and then drag the font to the fonts folder. I have been told that it is good to have a font place downloaded to put them in so you don't get too many on your computer. I tried it and couldl not figure that out so I have been putting them in my fonts in my Control Panel. Maybe it will work for you. I'll look and see if I can find where that post is so you can try it if you want. I figure I don;t have too many fonts but I wll delete ones I don"t want as I add. I don't know if I have helped you but there are others who will also.. so you can ignore my post if someone else explains it better. I also have Windows xp. Good Luck...
