If you can do it on the Cricut...

Post by BermudaLamb »

There is a lot of funcitonality on that little keyboard used with the cartridges, and I would like to see the Sure Cuts A Lot mimick it. Specifically, I think it should be able to manage the following:
  • Paper Alignment and Set Paper Size settings (mats are great, but my paper is not always that size)
  • Load Last
  • Paper Saver
  • Multicut
  • Center Point
  • Rotate 90 degrees and flip vertical (in addition to flip horizontal)
  • Some kind of copy paste scaling capability
When setting the paper alignment and size, the project should be loaded into the paper area, not just onto the "mat".

It would also be helpful if we could add a scanned image as a background on the mat. This way when we are cutting out our SVG we could see where it would cut on the image. This would be great for making special cuts on photos.

I know you can use the handles to rotate your images, but when you do the sizing handle begins to act really weird.

Auto settings, based on different consumables. On the properties window allow us to select a consumable and have that set various properties by default. Also, provide a dialog box for us to manage the consumables and adjust the settings as our experience dictates (not all papers are created equally).

The other day I was cutting out stars, pretty easy to do, but I needed to scale them so that they would overlay on top of each other. Some kind of "shrink by xx%" would be great. Of course, a select all that actually did a select all would be great for this as well.
