WIndow cuts for All Stars

Post by talanhart »

My friend's son has made an All Stars team in their Little League. Here are the vinyl cuts I am going to make for them.

Did you do them in inkscape, I just love them. I would like to make some for my sons team, they made allstars also. Is it real hard to make them? My sons team is the Village Meadows Allstars.

I did these in Illustrator.
The bold font that I used for the outside and the numbers is Aachen BT Bold. For the names I used Poplar.
PM me your email address and I will send you the Baseball to get you started.

I cut these yesterday while I was mowing the grass and this morning I weeded them. It took me about 45 minutes to weed all of them. They look really good and they cut well at 7" tall. 8" was too tall and 6" was too small, so we settled on 7". I was a little worried about the threads on the baseball, but even they cut well. I did have a few of the threads wrinkle a little, but they were easily tucked down. I have to cut out contact paper next and press that on top and they will be ready to go.

My friend had to call me last night to tell me that these were a big hit when they were passed out to the parents at the All Star meeting. Some of the parents want more than one.

My friend called me again last night to let me know that the parents want 30 more cuts. I only charged $2 each. I guess I should have charged more.

I am doing some beagle decals for my friend's dad. He is in a beagle hunting club and he wants 30 all different sizes to donate at their banquet. I charged him $2.50 a piece for the small ones (4"X 8") and $6.00 a piece for the big ones (12" X 18"). I was wondering, though, how do you prepare them to give to people. You mentioned cutting contact paper for them. Do you just cut it to fit right over your decal and it stays on there or do you tape it around the edges?
