How to take PDF's to SVG

does anyone have any clue how to take a pdf to svg format. I have a MacBook that has OSX as an operating system. Any help is greatly appreciated.

PDFs will open directly in Inkscape (free download inkscape.org). Choose the default settings. Assuming the pdf contains vector info, select and ungroup until the infobar does not show the word group anymore. Save as SVG. You may or may not have a cuttable vector at this point as other rules apply such as needing closed paths.

Kay, thanks so much. I have tried but I guess the PDF's I am trying to open do not have any SVG formats. Thanks for the help though. Reney
