Cricut update block on SCAL

I read on the cricut message board that the next update to cricut DS will contain a block so we can't use SCAL! Is there anything to this rumor and will you be coming out with something to "unblock" it if they do?? ANyone else heard this???

I heard this a while back too. Provo Craft would be crazy (in my opinion) to block SCAL. There are many people that purchased the machines so they could use them with SCAL. I guess we will have to wait and see what happens.

Don't update! If your cricut works now just continue using it like you have been UNLESS of course you use DS as well and NEED to update!

I have a baby bug and would love to upgrade to an expression and I was hoping that it would work with my SCAL. Does anyone know if I buy it would it work? Have they been updated yet to block SCAL?

Judy, You'll be able to use a new Expression with your existing SCAL. The Expression will need a firmware update like any other new machine. Craftedge can give you the details on that.
