Does the preview look right? The only SCAL functions that override the machine are speed and multicut.

anjahni I too am having the same problem. I have tried every speed every depth even changing the blade 3 times and it still will not cut all the way through. If you find a fix please let me know and I'll do the same.

Hi
The only thing I can suggest is you havent positioned the blade housing corectly?
It attaches on the neck below the numbered area not down where the rim to the blade is!

Well, I have not looked at the forum until now; and it's because it worked a few times and then today it did not cut thru. I am really bummed. I hate wasting time and paper!

I am at a loss. I have the blade lined up correctly, speed, etc. all at the max. Has anyone else figured it out?

Thanks, anjahni

Im sorry to hear you are still having problems. Is it the same svg file you are trying to cut or different ones?
Can you let us know what you are trying to cut and where you got the file even :-)

Have you called Provo Craft or looked on the Cricut forum to see if anyone else has the same problem? Have you checked to make sure your blade is in right side up?

Have you tried cleaning your blade? I had problems with the blade not cutting all the way through, so someone ran it along a leather strip and all of this black gunk came off, cuts great now!

The Cricket is new so I don't think it is the blade. I took it out and put it back in to be sure. It happens when trying to cut letters w/ the font from my computer-word files. I have yet to even try SVG files.

I put the settings up to the highest. Still no luck.

I just sent an email to SCAL folks. I did call Cricket. Once they heard I was using SCAL they said my warrante was invalid (good thing I didn't give my name) but told me how to reset the machine. I tried that too.

Thanks for all the responses to my question/problem. Sometimes it takes time to get back on the forum as I have a 2 year old and am about to have my second!

you might compare it with a new blade. It could have a broken tip.
