Pressure and speed controls

Since it doesn't matter what I set the machine itself at (in terms of speed and pressure settings), then I need the ability to be able to change that in the software and it work! Also, it would be nice if I could apply individual speed and pressure settings per item on the mat (for example, if I want to cut different media on one mat in one cut, like card stock and paper).

I have found that I DO have to change the PRESSURE settings even when using SCAL. Some cardstocks won't cut all the way through unless I have it at pressure 5 and some papers will tear at pressure 5 so I change it to pressure 2 or 3.

Is it just me????
