Shadow in Inkscape
Does anyone know how to create a shadow on letters in Inscape?

You can use use either Path/Outset or Linked offset.
Path/Outset:
Control D to make a copy over the original
change the color of one copy, the press the Home or Page down key to lower the new copy
From the menu use Path/Outset until you like the look
Linked Offset:
Select your image
From the Path menu select linked offset
Move the little white square until you like the size of the shadow
From the menu, Path/Object to path
If your image is complex and your computer old (like mine) linked offset can be a little sluggish
