I have just got SCAL and when I print the characters they go inside a red box that has the different handles at the corners. Well most of them. Some of them go outside the top of the box. Will this cause a problem when I cut them? If they do does that mean I should not use that font. One that I am playing with right now is LD Calligraphix but some others go out of the top even further.
One other thing, My keyboard does not work with SCAL. I have to use the mouse to choose each character. Neither my desktop nor my laptop will let me use the keyboard to type in the characters. Is this the way it is suppose to work?

Re: Font prints outside the red box
You should be able to use your keyboard. Have you tried going to Edit, Preferences, Restore Defaults? This might help. If not, I would suggest contacting the techies at CraftEdge. They may have a simple solution............

If you write to Craft Edge support be sure and tell them what OS system you are using. Windows XP, Vista, Mac...it makes a difference I think.kelsie94 wrote:You should be able to use your keyboard. Re: Font prints outside the red box
What happens when you view it in preview mode? Is everything red, or is part of the letter gray? If everything is red, you should be OK. If part is gray, then you will either have to use a different font, or use Inkscape.ffreeman wrote:I have just got SCAL and when I print the characters they go inside a red box that has the different handles at the corners. Are you clicking with your mouse in the virtual mat before you try typing? If you are, and it still isn't working I would contact tech support. HTHffreeman wrote:My keyboard does not work with SCAL.
