Deleting lines
Deleting lines
How do I delete a line I don't want? If I try it one node at a time and hit delete, I lose everything. I have a line perforation that I do not want in my SVG file. I am not working with a bitmap, I have already converted it to SVG but when it cuts the perforated line also cuts and I don't want that line. Can anyone help me please?
Re: Deleting lines
Well, I got it but I don't know how I did it. I need to know because I'm sure I will run into this problem again.

Re: Deleting lines
You can either delete them by the nodes or you can use break apart. I have used both, just depends on the image.Texasyl wrote:How do I delete a line I don't want? If I try it one node at a time and hit delete, I lose everything. I have a line perforation that I do not want in my SVG file.
Select your image
From the menu, Path/Break apart
Change to outline view. View/Display mode/Outline
Select the lines you want deleted.
Delete them.
Save the file.
Re: Deleting lines
Thank you Heather. I was able to delete the lines but not sure how I did it. I will print your answer and keep it in a folder for future reference. Thanks again.
