Compter acts likes it's going to crash since I put SCAL on

Since I put SCAL on my laptop it's going a bit crazy! I'm scared it might crash... First the program frooze up so I found the fix for that by adjusting the properties as you guys said to in program files.. but .. since I've been using the program I've noticed a slowdown on the computer and also weird things happening.. it was in perfect running order before the program.. for instance I put in a camera card to view some pictures and I got lines running all over the screen. I could have died, thought I was crashing right their and then but it fixed itself when it rebooted.. it's things like that , that are happening .... what is going on? anyone have any ideas.. I have windows vista - 32 bit...

No idea why your computer would be doing that! Sorry! I am running a desktop and a laptop both with Vista 32bit and both have had the properties - run in xp mode changed on them, and never had an issue.
