Features I would love to have..AKA..Miracles

I would love to have a feature where you can import a file and it be ready to cut. Not a complicated file, but like a stick figure one. I would also love to see a feature that would break apart the files by colors, for instance, if you take Mickey Mouse, it would break it apart by colors, placing the red parts, white parts, and yellow parts together, then doing a shadow or background. It would also be really nice to see a feature that would cut and paste only the parts of the files that you want to cut. Yeah, I know I want miracles, but if you were as brain dead as I am when it comes to using inkscape, you'd want miracles too.
I keep reading the tutorials but there are so many steps that I get so confused. A goldfish has a better memory than me.

You can break apart files by color in Inkscape. Under Path > Trace Bitmap it will bring up a menu box to work in. In the lower section 'multiple paths' check by color, and you can also preview. I learned this trick from Learn Digital Design http://www.learndigitaldesign.com/inkscapetut.htm but I'm sorry, I cannot recall which tutorial number that was in. Watch them all, if you want an easy understanding of the tricks Inkscape can do.
