I read a tut about using the paint bucket to seperate colors in an image to make saving and cutting thru SCAL easier. I don't know what she did to get to the start of her video. Anyone know what I am talking about. I am dumb, so please explain to me like I'm 5 years old. I have been jotting everything down, for cheat sheets, but am lost on this tut.
Thanks in advance,
Sonya in TX

Yes, Sonya, be sure you watch the videos in order if you are just starting out. The second one builds on the first one. Also listen carefully to the audio, because sometimes I use keyboard shortcuts to switch back and forth so it doesn't show up on the screen, but I do narrate what I am doing.
to get to where both of these start you need to download and install inkscape (see other posts on how to do this) and import a bitmap graphic, like a .jpg. File>import
part 1 http://cleversomeday.wordpress.com/2009 ... -inkscape/
part 2 http://cleversomeday.wordpress.com/2009 ... -inkscape/
Hopefully part 1 will clear up the confusion but if not, I'll be happy to help with your questions.
