A ? about dingbats & scal

I d/l some very cool DB dingbats, can I now just open them in scal & just cut them out? Or do I need to do something in inkscape? Thanks for any help you might be able to give me.

Install them like you would any other font and if they look like they are "cut-ready" (not too detailed or thin) then just use them like any other font in SCAL. You only have to take them into Inkscape if they need to be cleaned up or edited in some way. Many dingbats, especially the older ones from when computers didn't have that much power, are ready to go, as is.

Whoohoo I tried them out & they were pretty good! Even a bird cage.
