Create a flower and ribbon border

I recently posted a few flower shapes and then thought of how I could make ribbon the centre of the flowers and make up a border.
I added a cut out in the centre of a couple of the flowers to thread the ribbon through. I then stuck a large flower on the back to hold it in place.

Heres the svg of the flower with the ribbon cut out in. If you take the flowers into Inkscape you can ungroup and cut and paste the cut out piece into other flowers or save it as a separate file to use in another place.

Obviously if you just want a ribbon centre, cut your ribbon just long enough to thread through the centre and glue the back on.

What a clever idea! I found a web site that sells punches and stamps to use with them to make flowers. It shows you what punches to use to make different flowers. http://www.scrappilyeverafter.com/stamp ... nching.htm
Start at English Garden 1 and start copying!
