HELP!!! Firmware issues

We all know that Cricut updates its firmware to stop SCAL. Then SCAL patches to work around the firmware update. Soooo... here's the question: Does anyone out there know what the latest update (version) of Cricut firmware that SCAL has successfully patched for?

I just downloaded the trail of SCAL and it would never cut anything. So i went to cricut.com. and uninstalled the DS from cricut and the downloaded the updated. http://www.cricut.com/cds/Update.aspx
It re installed my DS and then VIOLA the SCAL cut a sample i created. Although it has lines in it, it worked.

I recently downloaded the Dec 08 Design Studio update and noticed it had a firmware update noted. Does anyone know if this firmware update impacts the ability to use SCAL? I have done the firmware update yet and wanted to make sure all will be good before moving forward.

Click on the link that Tingha provided above and look at the question 2. If the firmware on your Cricut matches that then you are set. Otherwise, you'll need to update your Cricut so it matches the specified firmware.

Thanks for response. I do have version 2.3 and had it before the latest update. I have downloaded the latest version of DS and I am trying to determine if I should also do the firmware updated as suggested by DS. The update notes indicated that the nudge problem was fixed however it was not fixed for me after installing the update. I'm wondering if the firmware update will resolve it, however I don't want to update the firmware if it is going to negatively impact SCAL.

mine worked last night
i uninstalled ds as directed from cricut and re installed it at 1.1 version and it worked fine.
