Crazy Monster

Post by etrnlfire »

I posted the finished project in the Designs forum. Here's the SVG file and original coloring page.
1. Clean up the coloring page in photoshop and save it with a different name.
2. Take it into Inkscape.
3. Use Path > trace bitmap with brightness cutoff selected hit update and ok. Move the files off of each other and delete the blurry one.
4. Then using paths I break the areas apart. Background, base color, teeth and eyes, and mouth and tongue.
5. Save the parts together, then each individually so that I can delete the layers I don’t need in SCAL.
6. I cut out the background in black, the body is metallic gold, tongue and mouth in red and eyes and teeth in white.
7. Using the original coloring page as a guideline I used black marker to fill in the black lines for teeth and around the hands and feet.

I've also included the original coloring page so that you can see the black lines I erased to make it simplier to cut and piece together. The finished project is 4 inches tall. I'm sure there is probably an easier and shorter way to do this but I don't know it yet.

Also sorry I'm not sure how to make the coloring page .jpg not appear and just show as an attachment. Please if I did anything wrong on this post please let me know.

Sorry i was going to post all the svg files but found the scut. I don't know if I can or how to move it to the scut files. Sorry about the mistake.

No problemo, I think you just need to delete it and then re-upload it.

Craftylass I can't seem to find the delete. I went to edit and couldn't find it there. I will post this under the scut area and if any board admins mind just deleting this thread? I haven't figured all the ins and outs on forum boards and i appologize for any inconvience.
