WOW this is hard

Hello crafters,

Well I got SCAL and downloaded Inkscape, but I guess I am just way to dumb...lol
This is so hard to figure out, there is so many things to this Inkscape program...

Do you have any suggestions on the eaisest/best way for me to understand/learn this program...I know just getting in there and playing around would probably be the best thing to do but I get so flustered.....Maybe I will see if I can find a book out there to where I can read and do at the same time or something...

Sorry to be such a party pooper, it was just really a lot more to that program then I thought....

It is true, these two are the best ever, there are more on the board too, don't get flustered, with time it will all just start to click, you will be amazed at what you can create!

I thought so too, at first. Then I checked out a tutorial on how to turn a jpeg into a svg and WOW, it was so easy! From then on, it was amazing! When I first opened Inkscape, I thought,Oh my, I'll never figure it out! But I followed the tutorial step by step and then I couldn't believe how easy it was!

Just do one, and you will be flying along in no time!

I have had this software for a couple of weeks and tried to figure it out on my own...don'to it! I finally did the above mentioned tutorials and I made a wordbook today, and lots of dingbat cutouts!! Thanks sooooo much for the awesome tutorials!

If you go to the Tutorials on the Craft Edge site here there are also beginners tutorials I wrote to start you off making your svg files when SCAL first came out, so help is always at hand! ( the images are from the first version of SCAL but the idea is the same)

Do persevere - it seems gobbeldygook at the beginning but soon you'll be up and away 'doing your own thing'.

I could never have made my first wordbook (which I completed two days ago) without dan99s step by step. I kept it in the background and replayed over and over. I now feel quite comfortable in inkscape. Bookmark dan99 and you will have lots of help!!!
