Hi Everyone,

I'm Sue from Beerewah, Queensland, Australia (yes right along side Australia Zoo). I heard about SCAL from a scrapping friend and then google it to find out more. I've had it now for 5 months and have cut hundreds of fonts and dings during that time. I have recently downloaded Inkscape after seeing such inspiration work from you guys. Hopefully I will be up and running with it in the next couple of weeks.

I currently own Chirp, Expression and am also looking into purchasing DS, just to give me extra toys to play with.

Look forward to chatting with you all around the Board. :D

I have had my baby bug for over a year now and I've had design studio since feb.
I love them both.
SCAL is in the pipeline and I am looking forward to learning much form this forum.

I'm from Canada, eh! Not a lot of Canadians on here - come one guys....I know you're lurking!!

I think I saw SCAL on the Cricut message board (Sheesh, I hardly ever go there anymore..... this message board is more exciting and there's no bashing anyone here, which makes it so much nicer!)

I purchased SCAL pretty quickly then. Actually, I had just purchased Design Studio when I found out about SCAL and was so disappointed about wasting my money on DS - SCAL is much easier ANDthe customer service is way better than Cricut (I'm still waiting for a response from them, after about 15 emails, for over six months now!)

I just wish I had more time to play with inkscape.....(heavy sigh).......

I e-mailed PC with a question about a cartridge rebate about three weeks ago and have never received a reply. My friend got her baby bug last black Friday from Wal-Mart and got home to find it was DOA. She was on the phone with them for hours. They did send a replacement and a return label, but only after a lot of time on hold. The one they sent was defective, too. More hours on hold. The third one was fine.

She knows the right way to talk to customer service, otherwise it might have been an even longer process. She did ask them if there was something they could offer her in way of a goodwill gesture for her troubles, and they let her have a cartridge of her choice for free. But think of all the minutes she wasted on her wireless phone just to get everything resolved. Ugh.

I'm thankful for boards like this, because I sure don't want to wait on hold there just to have questions answered! If I have to call for repair issues that's one thing, but other than that? Heck no -- This board rocks! :P

Brenda here from Illinois. Learned about SCAL at the last Scrapbooking Convention I went to from the people at the Scrapbook Corner Booth. I did a little homework and then bought it. Fell in love!

I grew up in Illinois. Welcome! :)

Still healing up from shoulder surgery due to a November 2007 wreck, I can't wait to get back to working so I can buy this app. Using the trial is such torture. LOL

I'm Kay from San Antonio, TX. I can't remember exactly where I first heard about SCAL, but it was during my research to decide which cutting maching to buy. I was considering a Pazzle, or Wishblade. When I found out about SCAL, my decision was easy - the Cricut is so much more affordable. And, I found a great deal on eBay!

My name is Mickey and I live in Cedar Rapids, IA, where we had major flooding
in June 08.
I learned about SCAL before I ever got my Cricut, must have been some online
scrapbook site.
I love SCAL, don't care too much for design studio, I don't have very many
carts, so it makes it more difficult. I use the trial version.
