I was able to duplicate the bug with the Presets on both my PC and my Mac so I reported that to the developer myself and sent him a link to your video. However, I cannot get #7 to occur. I created a similar file where I switched to cm and you can see a screenshot below. The original circles are 0.18 cm and I resized three of them to 0.20 cm and then tried clicking on another shape below. But the circles never moved. Could you explain maybe how your design was created? Was it imported from another program or did you design it all in SCAL? I really want to be able to reproduce this bug myself and test it in the Mac version, as well.

Hi ButchZ
Thank you for your suggestions and for taking the time to watch my videos and to respond
You are of course right, I could disable the sound in Control Panel, I could also just turn off my loudspeakers, but I really don't want to do either. Thousands of other programs can to keypress-mousemove without sound, so this is definitely something the programmers should fix. I won't call it an error, it's just annoying.
#6 is definitely an error! Or actually two errors, but I guess they are related. This is the current newest version 4.069, first error is the dialog that doesn't disappear after clicking [OK], Second error is of course the actual program crash. Newest version... this has not been fixed as my video shows.
#7 You're not supposed to press enter after changing the values. The procedure for changing the size of multiple items should be the same for the first and the last change. It would be stupid if I had to think "This is the last change so now I have to do something special". I didn't press Enter after the first two changes and it's not necessary after the third one as well. I know because the error isn't persistent, sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't. At many occasions it just works as it should (without pressing enter), but sometimes it moves my circles as the video shows.
Another funny thing is, that the move cannot be restored with "Undo", Undo just restores the sizes not the placement.
All the best
Jorgen

Hi Sandy
Thank you for taking the time and telling the developer
I will see if I can do a complete start-to-end tutorial of how to replicate the moving objects.

Re: Please update SCAL4
Regarding the beeping when panning, I have some good news and I have some bad news:
The good news: I googled the issue and found that back in 2010, this was a big problem for users of Illustrator:
https://forums.adobe.com/thread/632247? ... 0&tstart=0
So, it had to do with the Alt key somehow triggering the menu bar. Now, even though the Alt key is NOT being used when panning in SCAL, I thought to myself... I wonder what would happen if I DID hold the Alt key and the spacebar by accident. Well, not only did I get the Windows ding when I tried to then drag the mouse. But after I let go of the Alt key and I then tried to just press the spacebar and drag, I started getting the ding every time after that! So, I was able to reproduce the issue you're having.
Now for the bad news: I haven't been able to stop it now that I've started it! I even rebooted WIndows, reinstalled SCAL4.069 and the problem is still there. So, I've joined your club! lol But, hopefully, given this information, the developer will be able to provide a solution to reverse it.

Re: Please update SCAL4
In my effort to try to find a shortcut combo to reverse this beeping, I did discover that if I pan by holding all three: Ctrl and Alt and spacebar, then I can pan without the beeping. See if you find the same to be true. Meanwhile, I'll keep googling and I'll let the developer know what started this.
The other alternative is that rather than disable ALL Windows sounds, you can switch just the Default Beep to None and then not deal with it.

Butch, take one for the team... open SCAL and hold Alt + Spacebar and drag mouse. Does that turn on the beeping for you?ButchZ wrote:

Re: Please update SCAL4
Found another shortcut for a quiet panning: hold down spacebar and then hold Alt and then drag. If I hold Alt first, it doesn't work. But the other order does work. That one's not bad.
