Help with this reindeer not cutting

Post by sowatcher »

Can someone please please help me? I want to cut this elegant reindeer image for our Christmas cards. I have two problems. It stops cutting and freezes at his hind legs. Also, it's an outline cut and I would really like to use a solid shape.

I've saved the scal file to this message. I don't know how to use Inkscape because my computer won't hold anymore installations right now, so I can't fix it myself.

Could someone be an angel and take a look at it for me?

THANK YOU!

When I opened the file, all I saw was a capital M so it seems that you are using a dingbat that I don't have loaded onto my computer.

Sorry, I can't help.

I couldn't open the file at all. It shut down SCAL completely and was unreadable in Inkscape. Where did you get the deer from? Can you post the actual picture? If it was from a font, which one was it?

I answered this elsewhere. I fixed it for myself in Inkscape by downloading the jpg file.

I'm so sorry about the trouble posting the wrong kind of file!!! I'm so new to all of this.

Here is a link to the free dingbat set. It is the reindeer on the "M" key.

4YEOXMAS Font by 4 Your Eyes Only is the name of the font.

If someone can clean that up or whatever the magic is you all are doing, I would be so so very grateful!

Thank you for helping!

I REALLY GOOFED!!! THE ORIGINAL FILE OF THE ISO REINDEER WAS POSTED BY HBENNETT. UNTIL WE HERE FROM HER/HIM I HAVE TAKEN DOWN THE FILES.

Thank you for your generosity of letting me post the adjusted files of the great reindeer.

Here is both an scut and an svg file. I'll cross post in both svg files and scut files so that they won't get lost.

The second image is a shadow of the first so that you can have a backing. Decorating is your option. Add the eye and the nose and you are done.
