SCAL spooling vinyl before cut. Possible to just cut start?

I've got a GCC Jaguar II. When I cut from SCAL (trial) it feeds about 2 feet of vinyl before going back to the start and cutting. The cut itself is 2"x2". If I am using a 12"x12" it kicks the sheet out. Basically I am unable to print on a 12"x12" at all because once the sheet is kicked out, it errors and I have to reinsert it and it starts the process again, doing the same thing. The mat is set for a 12"x12". I've even tried a custom mat for shorter. I'm guessing there's a setting somewhere I'm missing, but as I'm just trying this software out to see if it will work I figure I'll tap experience individuals here.

The plotter is set up for roll.
