Hi - Hope someone can answer my question.
I am on a mac and have Sure Cuts A Lot 4 - pro … I am LOVING everything about.
I having one big issue, a friend of mine uses Makes the Cut and when she opens a file that I am sharing with her, it opens tiny … the size of a 1" sq.
When I export to a SVG, I am not touching any of the settings and leaving them blank and the default at 72dpi.
When I open the SVG file in Illustrator, it looks exactly as I created it in SCAL.
My guess is I should be selecting "something" in the settings when exporting to SVG… but I don't know what one/s.
Any guidance would be gratefully appreciated…. or where I can find out what each setting is for?
Thanks so much!

Re: SCAL SVG files not same size in Make the Cut
The bigger question may be what version of MTC is your friend using? The newer versions (forget exactly when it was changed) should be automatically reading the SVG file's header information and importing the correct size into MTC. However, if your friend is using an older version of MTC (like she is using a Cricut cutter and can't upgrade to continue using it) then it didn't automatically read and adjust and you had to tell it what size in MTC based on the "source" of the file. Since she has trouble with the sizing, I suspect she is in fact running an old version. So, first thing is to find out what version of MTC They are using. If an older version - I would have to check to see how to "fix" in that version as it has been a long time since I ran the older versions of MTC that didn't automatically size the file based on the SVG file's header information.
I "think" that I recall you can tell SCAL what size DPI to save an SVG file and perhaps its default is to 72 (not sure though). I am also sure that Illustrator saves SVG to a default of 72 DPI which is why it would be opening up correctly in Illustrator if your SCAL is defaulting to that.
