MSVCR80.dll

Post by nvogue2000 »

Out of the blue, I'm getting an error when SCAL3 starts to open. It's a box I have to click multiple times (ok) to clear out. The program ultimately opens, but it may randomly lock up or just stop responding along the way. I downloaded the updates and reinstalled today, to no avail.

Any ideas on resolution?

For sure a report to craftedge is in order. Go to craftedge.com click support, fill out all the info.

I've never seen this problem before.

This could be a missing file in your registry or in your software application.

Do you get the error when opening any other applications, such as Outlook or iTunes?

Did you try un-installing SCAL completely and re-installing (not just doing the updates). If the file was dropped somehow and update probably would not fix it.

I don't use Outlook, but I did get an error just now when trying to load iTunes. That's a little scary since I haven't done anything to delete files ... thanks for the heads up Sandy! Now I just have to find that file. Talk about partying it up on a Saturday night lol!

Thanks again for the help.

You want to do an update from Microsoft's site. There are some download from other site, but it is not recommended to use them.
