is Scal compatible with the Cake Cutter?
Can you use scal with the Cricut Cake Cutter?

Since you already own SCAL2 it would depend on the firmware of the machine. Here's CE's page with that info: http://www.craftedge.com/support/faq/fa ... salot.html#
It says: version 2.1 or 2.3-2.35 for Cricut Expression/Cake machines; version 1.51-1.54 for Cricut Create/Cake Mini machines.

I would say no if you are buying the cake machine now.
I would guess that PC ship all new machines to be NOT compatible with software other than their own
