Font Bros

Post by lorigsnyder »

Does anyone know if I purchase the Harold's Typeable Circle Monogram from Font Bros if it will work with my cricut expression & SCAL2? I'm new to the program (and forum), and trying to find a free circle monogram font (or svg), and haven't had any luck! I don't have any of the art programs to create my own either. Or is there one someone would be willing to share?! Also - I have tried to download Monogram KK, but can't seem to import it into my fonts on SCAL 2. Any help would be appreciated!!! I'm so lost!

You don't have to import fonts into SCAL. Any font that is on your computer will come up when you use the font popup on the far left of your mat. Then you use the drop down bar to chose the font you want. Just install it onto your computer by right clicking on your mouse. You do have to close and restart SCAL after an install for the program to recognize the new font.

Thank you for your help! I downloaded the circle monogram font that was sent, but everytime I try to cut it, the cricut will cut 3-4 cuts & then stops. I tried to cut another downloaded font (monogram kk), and it does the same thing! Anything that came on SCAL2, cuts fine!

Any help would be SO much appreciated!!!

Hi, can you post the problem file so we can take a look? Double cuts usually means more than one copy. Look at your layers panel and see if you have multiple layers of the same piece.

What software are you using to cut with ?

Try looking at the preview cut and see if any of the parts need to be welded or unioned first

If not as papasue suggests post the file and we can take a look

The welding is fine - I'm just trying to cut it & the preview is perfect. I have SCAL 2 & Cricut Expression. If I use any font that's pre-installed on SCAL 2, it cuts perfect, but as soon as I use one I downloaded (ex: monogram kk), it freezes during the cutting.
