will vs 1 of SCAL work with a new expression (not the 2)

I have the old version of SCAL, the 1st one and I was wondering if I buy a new expression, will it still work or has provo craft blocked it now?
also, I think I used both of my installs od SCAL1, what do I do?

No, the new Expression (2) will not work with any version of SCAL.
Also, you may be able to get a new activation code if you can furnish craftedge with all of the info on the software. Meaning you would need the purchase information, serial number, email that it was purchased with, etc.
Is it not possible to deactivate it?
Otherwise, you may not be able to use it. Good luck. You should probably contact support at craftedge.com.

No it's not the 2, but a brand new regular expression
No, it was on a laptop that the screen got cracked on and on a desktop that would no longer work

oh no.... I bought my new expression and updated the firmware and scal just locks up at checking cartridge HELP!!!

Now it has version 2.43.... how can I get an older firmware version on there?

I don't think you can change it back...
But, maybe you just need to install the driver.
Don't try to cut yet...just open scal and in the HELP section click on install driver.
It took me a couple tries...be patient...seems to me I recall it took a couple minutes.
Give it a try, maybe.
