Have Cricut 1.3 - need to have 1.1 - HOW?

Post by JenJen »

I upgraded my Cricut to 1.3 before I knew about SCAL. Now, I need to go back to version 1.1 and I don't know how. HELP!
The only link I have found is "driveway" (?) and that doesn't work, it brings up picture files. Can anyone tell me how to get back to version 1.1

You should be able to download an older version from http://www.mediafire.com/?zm43uxd2mtx

The last time I checked that link it is the newer version of DS, it was updated in July with the 1.3/2.3 version. Check the version. The older version I have is 1.0.20211.0 the upgraded version that does the 2.3 is 1.0.20815.0

I guess I'm a little confused. Why wouldn't the version on that link work? Wasn't DS version 1.0.20815.0 issued in August? The linked file indicates it was uploaded on 7/29/08. Was the latest DS version issued before the 7/29 upload? I didn't download it, so I don't know how to check which version is on it. I have the DS cd, but I haven't updated it because I don't want to lose my ability to use scal. Am I too confused to make anyone understand what I'm asking?

Aren't there any other links to download the firmware version that we need to use scal?
SCAL1, SCAL2 V2.044, SCAL3. SCAL4 XPsp3, Windows 7, Windows 10-64 bit, Ink.46, Cricut E, Silhouette Cameo

I went to this link http://www.mediafire.com/?zm43uxd2mtx and was able to "downgrade" my cricut from 1.3 to 1.1
I did have to do it twice because it didn't work the first, but really it was very simple and easy to do.
