I used the DS to update like this site says but its 2.3 HELP

Now Im stuck. I bought SCAL today. Downloaded the trial of design studio like it says. Updated my firmware like it says but it updated it to 2.3

How do I get it back?? Before I did this I had version 2.0 on my expression.

Please help, I really want to use my SCAL software I bought today..

I'm afraid you may be experiencing what others are and may not be able to use SCAL-I heard that they are still working on how to get around it but, there hasn't been a break. I hope you can get a better explanation from someone who has been here longer I just wanted to let you know. But I'm sure they will figure out how to get around it in time.

Where did you get your DS version from? If you got it from PC's site then it would be the newest version, they have taken off the older version. Go to this site to download the older version of DS,

put it in a different folder on your computer and when you update the firmware with this version it will take your bug to 2.1. It worked for me a couple weeks ago and as long as you use the older version it can take your firmware to 2.1. The DS software version should be 1.0.20211.0 this version has the 2.1 firmware. Just make sure you don't do a software update for DS, just keep the old one.

When I go to the driveway site, there is nothing to download. There is a folder called Research and in that folder are documents about breast feeding. What are you supposed to do from here?

Hmmm, that was the link I got the old DS from a week or so ago, makes me wonder if PC made them take it down. I wonder if there is an old version available anymore. Does anybody have a good link anymore?

I have the original DS cd. Will that version work with the Expression - I think it is 1.1.1? I just got an E off of Ebay.

The original cd should be work, it would be the first version. It will be able to get the firmware 1.1 and 2.1

If you have already been using SCAL and not upgraded the DSS, then all you have to do is update the firmware on the E. There is a box to choose between the 6" and the 12" (E).

I've been using the little bug. I just got an E machine. I didn't know if the E machine required a higher version of the firmware than the little bug. It sound like they can use the same version.

Wreed, I have the same problem as you. It's very frustrating.I did not change my firmware, but I did put on the new cartridges (not the latest one they are not out yet) I knew not to download the firmware,so I still have sure cuts alot but I can not use design software. Did using the DS disc help you??? Thanks for any help
