Another blade issue with Eclips
Re: Another blade issue with Eclips
Doesn't eCal have a setting for vinyl? I use the number one setting and then set the material setting for whatever I am cutting - no problems.

It does have a setting for vinyl. I have the click holder too and mine works just fine.

So yeah I ended up keeping the click holder. Seems the new holder has issues. I am not the only one who has had the problems with the blade moving settings during cutting. So far the click holder has been doing well. Also like previous posters have mentioned I too have mine set at 2 for vinyl. What a difference a different blade holder can make.

So glad it is working well for you now. Would have hated to see things not going well as I really like my machine. Hope it's smooth sailing from now on.

Re: Another blade issue with Eclips
Thanks everyone for the help......I just wonder how widespread the faulty blade holder issue is? Seems like they wanted to make thier new holder like the Zing holder but failed in the design. Kinda funny in a way......several people who have the Zing bought the Eclips clicky holder because they could not get the setting right easily with the Zing blade holder and now the Eclips blade holder has changed their design to be like the Zing holder. Anybody use other blades in the Eclips holder other than the OEM ones? I hear others will work ie Roland blades.

I use roland blades, they seem to last longer, ebay seller kinkyshop721.
