Cricut Moves slow

Post by kgt »

Hi,

I have had my SCAL for about 3 weeks now. I have been able to cut just fine! I am so excited!!

However, ever since I updated my firmware to 1.1, if I am using a smaller sheet of paper and try to move the blade to set the paper size (when I am not using SCAL) it moves SOOOOOOOOO slow and these numbers show up on the cricut screen, is this normal after updating the firmware? Before it just glided accross the paper.... I do not know if this is where I should post this or not, since it really isn't a SCAL problem, but I didn't know who else to ask. Thanks in advance!!

Try clicking on File -> Preferences and choose Maximum cut speed from the drop-down box on the General tab if not selected. I think that speed overrides the speed you set on the Cricut. I often use Medium if I'm cutting integrate work.

Just hold the arrow down a little longer and it should move to the location you want. I had the same problem and this seems to work for me.
