I'm going to an event where everyone has to dress up like Santa or Mrs. Claus. This year my Mrs. Claus will be steampunk! I'm sewing this Simplicity costume: http://www.simplicity.com/p-6060-misses-costume.aspx. I also made spats, I don't have a picture right now. But anyway, I did make her a mini top hat (information follows), and steampunk goggles. The rims on the goggles are made from laundry detergent bottle caps, LOL! Okay, the info:
The top hat is made from scrap paper, cardstock, a bit of felt at the bottom (to sew in a comb), wired wide ribbon for bow, and feathers.
