Does scal6 work with legacy cricut machines? Specifically, the hacks that enable it to cut directly?
I do have scal2, so I can send to that if needed. I missed upgrading to scal5, and the libcutter files skew things when I try to cut directly from 4.

Technically version 3 & 4 do not work with the Cricut, BUT you can work in those versions and then send the design to version 2 and cut with it.

Re: Forever Young cartridge font
The shapes on the cartridge were graphic sets available from Scrapnfonts.com, but they have been pulled from the site along with other graphics that were made into cartidges (Pagoda was on there also).

Re: The Ability to Import from Design Studio
tessieluv, you will actually open the file you want in Inkscape like normal. If it is a pdf it will then allow you to "save as .svg". I think there are only certain types of pdfs that will do this, so they might not all work, but a lot of the old cricut handbooks were saved in the correct ...

Re: Want a program like photo gallery for my svg/scut files
I don't know about tagging and albums, but Renesis viewer is a free program that will cause your SVGs and .cut (design studio) to have thumbnail pictures that show up in your Windows folders (just like all your other media files do). Then you can create folders by subject and save your files in them...
Re: Lines
I tried this, but it doesn't actually change the line, just how it appears. When you import into SCAL or view in outline mode, they are still solid lines.
I am going to try creating a set of lines and putting them into "Lib it Up" so that I can just add them to any project I want.

Lines
I would love a few lines added to the basic shapes library - both a solid and perforated straight line and semi-circle. This would allow us to make slits and tabs and fold lines wherever we wanted. For example, placing a dashed line down the center of a basic square = instant card & fold line! s...

besides the doodlebat. Lettering delights also has some image collections that correspond to sweet treats - there is "build a cupcake", "you take the cupcake", "birthday cake" and a few that have the quotes from the cart. They also have the font "buttercream" ...

Re: tip for making home skittles
You can color them by putting them in a plastic bag with a few drops of alcohol ink and squishing them around until they are coated. You can also find premade skittles in a large bag in the floral section of some stores. It is $12.00 for a 4x8 bagfull here - much less than those sold for scrapbookin...
